Job Summary
Software Engineer III - Cloud Engineer on JPMorgan Chase's Cloud Foundational Services team designs, implements, and manages cloud infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform with emphasis on security, compliance, IAM governance, and secure-by-default architectures. The role delivers cloud infrastructure solutions using GCP services (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Kubernetes Engine), applies security practices including identity management, encryption, key management, organizational policies, and deny policies, participates in IAM governance and compliance audits, and collaborates in an agile environment to deliver secure-from-the-start solutions. Proficiency in Terraform and scripting with Python or Go, experience with Google Identity and related IAM technologies (OIDC Federation, Workload Identity Federation, role management), and knowledge of authentication/authorization protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC) are required. Preferred qualifications include experience with AWS or Azure, SQL, containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and Google Cloud Platform certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, and Kubernetes Engine
- Experience with Google Identity Access Management technologies, including Google Identity, OIDC Federation, Workload Identity Federation, role management, etc.
- Knowledge of Authentication and Authorization protocols, both modern (SAML, OAuth, OIDC)
- Familiarity with serverless computing and event-driven architectures using GCP services like Cloud Run and Cloud Pub/Sub
- Proficiency in Terraform and scripting with Python or GoLang
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on cross-functional teams
