Job Summary
Software Engineer III (Backend) within JPMorgan Chase's FX Services Technology Team in Singapore. You will develop backend applications and APIs using Java and Kubernetes, contribute to architecture and design artifacts, and work with stakeholders to deliver solutions for the currency overlay business. The role emphasizes producing secure, high-quality production code, system design, data analysis for continuous improvement, and collaboration within engineering communities of practice. Familiarity with Spring, Maven, Git, REST, SQL, Jenkins, and cloud technologies is advantageous and aligns with building scalable backend services in a large corporate environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Formal training or certification on engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience in Java
- Basic understanding of Kubernetes deployment platform
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Strong understanding of Object Oriented concept
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Proficient knowledge in OLAP application
