Job Summary
Design, develop, code, test, debug, and deploy scalable data applications; oversee data strategy, governance, risk management, reporting, and analytics; deliver trusted technology solutions using Java, J2EE, Microservices, Python, Spark, Scala, and AWS for Business Banking Data Products; participate in code reviews, implement CI/CD, and drive automation across private and public clouds.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts
- 5+ years of applied experience
- Expert-level skills in Java, AWS, Python, Scala, Spark/PySpark, or ETL technologies
- Experience with SQL on RDMS platforms
- Experience with Data Warehousing concepts (including Star Schema)
- Full SDLC experience in Agile
- Experience with cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Strong data analytics and BI experience
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years of applied software engineering experience
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts
- Advanced knowledge of architecture, design, and business processes
- Full Software Development Life Cycle experience within an Agile framework
- Expert-level skills in Java, AWS, Python, Scala, Spark/PySpark, or ETL technologies
- Experience with SQL on RDMS platforms
- Experience with Data Warehousing concepts (Star Schema)
- Experience delivering projects in Data and Analytics, Big Data, Data Warehousing, and BI
- Familiarity with multiple Data & Analytics technology stacks
- Experience with one or more leading cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Ability to work quickly and ramp up on new technologies
- Strong collaboration skills and relationship-building
- Understanding of controls and compliance processes for applications and data
- Knowledge of industry-wide Big Data technology trends and best practices
