Job Summary
Software Engineer II - Test Automation at JPMorgan Chase in New York, NY leads design, development, and maintenance of automated test scripts using Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, and RestAssured; collaborates with development and QA teams to define test plans; executes automated test suites, analyzes results, and documents defects; identifies opportunities to improve test automation and scales the automation framework; troubleshoots test failures and stays updated on trends in test automation. Requires formal training or certification and 3+ years of experience in software test automation, proficiency in Java/Python/JavaScript, hands-on experience with Selenium and Appium, familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI), strong knowledge of test frameworks (Cucumber, TestNG, RestAssured), understanding of SDLC and QA methodologies, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and API testing experience (Postman, RestAssured). Preferred: knowledge of performance and security testing and experience in Agile/Scrum.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Proven experience in software test automation
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Strong knowledge in Test Framework( Cucmber,TestNG,RestAssured)
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and QA methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured)
- Knowledge of performance and security testing
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
