Job Summary
Design, implement, test, and maintain SaaS services hosted on AWS, ensuring five 9's reliability and adherence to security and telemetry principles. Own microservices end-to-end, manage work via Github and Jira, and execute automated unit, API, and functional tests within CI/CD pipelines. Participate in backlog grooming, code reviews, and on-call rotation to resolve production incidents 24x7, while actively identifying and prioritizing technical debt. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Principal Engineers, and SRE to align design and implementation. Conduct research on emerging technologies and ensure all engineering work complies with industry regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 2-4 year of experience architecting and implementing highly-available, reliable, secure SaaS applications based on microservices architecture
- Expertise in Microservices, AWS, Java, Python, JavaScript, React, Spring Boot, Data streaming technologies, APIs, Messaging queues, Caches, CI/CD, Telemetry
- Expertise with cloud telephony, UCaaS, CCaaS, SIP, SBC, integration with CPaaS providers
- Experience with one or more database technologies (ex: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes container technologies
- Experience with REST API design and implementation
- Experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka, Flink
- Experience with modern automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and SaaS tools
- Passion for producing clean, standards-compliant, secure code
- Proficient with automated unit and API testing, continuous integration and safe deployment practices
- Fearless about learning new technologies and technical approaches to application development
- Experience working in a geographically distributed team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
