Job Summary
Software Engineer II and Senior Test Engineer responsibilities include designing, developing, executing, and maintaining test plans and test cases; building test automation frameworks and end-to-end functional and integration tests; writing secure, high-quality code in at least one language; integrating with upstream/downstream systems; improving automation value via SDLC tools; troubleshooting; analyzing large data sets to inform decisions; and contributing to a team culture focused on diversity and inclusion. Required and preferred skills center on C#/.NET, Selenium WebDriver, JavaScript, HTML, REST APIs, test automation, SDLC, CI/CD, agile practices, cloud familiarity, security testing, performance testing, and experience within large corporate environments. The role is located in Irvine, CA (US) and is full-time, with no relocation or visa sponsorship details specified. The candidate should have formal software engineering/testing training or certification and at least 2 years of related experience, with exposure to modern programming languages and testing frameworks, and a willingness to grow within JPMorgan Healthcare Payments projects.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering and testing concepts
- 2+ years applied experience
- Demonstrated and solid experience in C# and .Net technologies
- Experience with Selenium WebDriver, JavaScript, HTML, Rest API for test automation
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Demonstrable ability to code in one or more languages
- Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle
- Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
- Exposure to cloud technologies
- Experience with developing, debugging and maintaining test automation frameworks and architecture for web applications and APIs
- Experience with performance testing and tools
- Familiarity with security testing and tool
