Job Summary
Software Engineer II on JPMorgan Chase's Quorum Technology team, responsible for designing, developing, and troubleshooting secure, scalable software components within an agile environment. Writes secure, high-quality code in at least one programming language, designs and troubleshoots across upstream/downstream systems, leverages SDLC tools to drive automation, analyzes large data sets to inform decisions, and grows skills in secure, stable code and systems. Experience across the full SDLC, CI/CD, security practices, cloud exposure, and potentially blockchain knowledge is preferred. The role emphasizes collaboration within a software engineering team to deliver software solutions for state-of-the-art technology products in a large corporate setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/ Information systems/ Engineering or related disciplines
- Minimum 2 years of Software development hands on experience
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Demonstrable ability to code in one or more languages
- Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle
- Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security
- Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
- Exposure to cloud technologies
- Blockchain knowledge is preferred but not a requirement
