Software Engineer II

Perform software design, coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development process while applying standard engineering disciplines and tools. Analyze existing information systems to identify weaknesses and develop improvement opportunities, then interact with internal customers and team members to facilitate product completion to specifications. Generate software documentation and conduct requirements-based verification and validation testing to assure all requirements are met. Develop application specifications, conversion, and migration designs, and support application maintenance as needed. Conforms to established systems development life cycles, computing standards, and guidelines, while assisting in defining development guidelines and custom integration solutions. This role supports the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration's Kansas City National Security Campus, producing intricate components for trusted national security products.
