Job Summary
Software Engineer II at JPMorganChase (Kinexys, Corporate and Investment Banking) focused on designing, coding, testing, and delivering software to automate manual operational work, troubleshooting priority incidents, and ensuring reliability and scalability through collaboration across the development lifecycle. Responsibilities include identifying patterns and analytics to improve service levels, designing self-healing and resiliency patterns, automating software upgrades and release management, performing Change Management for deployments, and contributing to 24x7 support as needed. Required skills include a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent, 3+ years of practical software engineering experience, proficiency in at least one programming language (Java/Kotlin/Python/Go), Linux experience, and familiarity with Kubernetes/AWS/Cloud Foundry, IAM, VPC Networking, Prometheus, and Grafana. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of the financial services industry and relevant AWS, Prometheus, Datadog, Kubernetes, or Terraform certifications. Location: Singapore.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Formal Training and certification on software engineering and 3+ years of applied experience
- Expertise in at least one technology stack designing, coding, testing, and delivering software
- Proficiency in one or more technology domains may be a cross-domain expert able to solve complex and mission-critical problems within a business or across the firm
- Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Demonstrated experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or DevOps Engineer or Software Engineer
- Proven experience as a software engineer, including proficiency in at least one systems programming language (Java / Kotlin / Python / Go)
- Understanding of observability in distributed systems
- Experience with Linux
- Experience Kubernetes and/or Cloud Foundry, AWS, including knowledge of IAM & VPC Networking, Prometheus and Grafana
- Any AWS Certifications (AWS – Cloud Practitioner / Developer Associate / Solution Architect Certification); Prometheus; Datadog; Kubernetes CKA/CKAD Certifications or Terraform Certifications
