Job Summary
Software Engineer II at Nike India Technology Center within the Geographies & Marketplace Experiences team, responsible for building next-generation tools and services that serve consumer-ready product information to Nike experiences and back-end teams. Focus areas include a high-throughput, low-latency order management platform, cloud-native microservices, full-stack development (backend and frontend), AI-first tooling, GenAI-powered capabilities, observability, DevOps, and agile delivery. The role involves end-to-end ownership from design to production, collaboration with cross-functional teams, code reviews and mentoring, sprint planning, and delivering scalable digital asset management capabilities for Nike’s global consumer experiences.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or other relevant subject area, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3+ years software development experience
- Full Stack development experience with Express.js, React, Node.js or Java, Spring Boot, React, MySQL/PostgreSQL
- Experience in distributed/cloud-based environments (AWS, GCE, Azure)
- Experience in microservices architecture, RESTful services using Java and Spring Boot
- Experience with NoSQL (DynamoDB) and relational databases (MySQL, Oracle)
- Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins) and GitHub workflows
- Experience with testing (JUnit, Mockito, cucumber, Playwright) and observability/monitoring tools (NewRelic, Splunk, SignalFx, Kibana/Grafana)
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum)
- Experience in end-to-end project delivery with minimal supervision
- Experience delivering Generative AI–based solutions or projects
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, distributed, global team
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience
- Experience with observability and operational readiness using Splunk and SignalFx
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
