Job Summary
As a Software Engineer II on Nike’s Geographies & Marketplace Experiences team, you will contribute to building a high-throughput, low-latency, fault-tolerant Order Management platform in a cloud-native, microservices-based environment. You will design and implement backend services using Java and Spring Boot, work with distributed data stores (DynamoDB, MySQL, Oracle), and participate in end-to-end DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and observability. You will leverage AI-powered developer tools to accelerate development, participate in sprint planning, and collaborate with global teams to deliver scalable digital asset management and consumer product information across Nike experiences. The role emphasizes hands-on development, architecture discussions, testing (JUnit, Mockito, cucumber, Playwright), monitoring (Splunk, SignalFx, Kibana, Grafana), and a strong focus on performance, reliability, and scalability in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or other relevant subject area, or equivalent experience
