Job Summary
Design and build scalable, reliable backend systems using Java and Kotlin to support interview scheduling and administration on Indeed's platform. Collaborate with designers, product managers, and data scientists to evolve the front-end technical stack and deliver product experiences that drive employer adoption. Contribute to system architecture, participate in code reviews, and own application support during business hours to ensure system health. Use metrics and logging to make data-informed decisions that improve performance and reliability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience
- Proficiency in one or more modern backend programming languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin, or similar)
- Experience building and operating large-scale, high-performance, and resilient systems
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English, with the ability to work effectively across teams
