Job Summary
Software Engineer II responsible for core engineering tasks with a focus on AI-enabled development workflows, tool evaluation and integration, and hands-on lab/infrastructure support. The role requires hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, familiarity with LLMs/AI/ML tooling, and the ability to coordinate project resources while delivering customer-focused solutions. Will serve as a project point of contact, work under leadership direction, and drive task ownership across team members to maintain strong customer relationships. Requires strong Python skills (plus C++, Java, Ruby are a bonus), Linux and Windows experience, effective communication, and the ability to learn and adapt in new environments. Physical task requirements include light lifting (up to 30 lbs) and occasional repetitive tasks; travel between support sites with own vehicle may be needed.
Required Qualifications
- 3-4 years of experience in software engineering
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code or similar)
- Experience with LLMs/AI/ML tools
- Experience with Linux and Windows OS
- Strong communication skills
- Experience planning and delivering customer solutions
- Ability to lift 30 lbs and other physical task requirements
- Own transportation for travel between support sites
