Job Summary
Develop and design simple, reliable, high-quality software that scales to meet the needs of the growing customer base. Maintain tests to ensure solutions function at a high level and can be refactored safely. Perform long-term support and maintenance, including performance optimization, bug fixes, feature additions, and automation. Document systems to ensure maintainability for future developers. Serve in an on-call rotation as a first responder for team-owned software. This backend role focuses on large-scale distributed problems to ensure real-time control and visibility into home security systems.
Required Qualifications
- Experience designing and implementing features in cloud-based backend systems
- Experience with at least 1 major programming language (C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, C++, Go, Python, etc.), and comfortable being on a team that utilizes multiple languages
- A strong understanding of the SOLID principles
- Experience using AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Familiarity with the Agile Scrum process
- Serve in an on-call rotation as a first responder for software owned by your team
