Job Summary
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions and data pipelines on a data platform for Nike’s global supply chain and planning ecosystem. Collaborate with senior engineers to implement reliable software, emphasize data governance and observability, and ensure high-quality data through testing and validation. Contribute to code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and deliver API-first data services at scale using cloud-based tooling (Databricks, Spark, Airflow) and IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation). Investigate and apply best practices in data governance, Lakehouse architectures, and emerging AI concepts (ML/Generative AI) as part of building robust data solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in software development
- strong foundation in distributed systems and data platforms
- hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- experience with Databricks, Snowflake, AWS EMR, AWS RDS, Azure SQL, or GCP Cloud SQL
- Apache Spark, Databricks Workflow, and Apache Airflow experience
- proficiency in Python or SQL
- understanding of Lakehouse architecture and Data Mesh principles
- data governance frameworks and modern data pipelines
- ability to deliver API-first services at scale
- infrastructure as code proficiency (Terraform or AWS CloudFormation)
- strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- excellent communication and collaboration skills
- hands-on experience with observability and data quality
