Job Summary
Software Engineer II for Ascenda's Loyalty platform—help build and scale the largest, most scalable loyalty services, including points accrual and campaigns. Collaborate across teams to deliver reliable, usable APIs and infrastructure, mentor other engineers, and uphold high engineering standards. The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership, cross-team collaboration with product, design, business, operations, and external stakeholders, and a focus on scalable, simple design aligned with Ascenda's growth mindset and radical simplicity.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years in development experience
- Experience building large-scale, high-throughput distributed systems on the Cloud
- Strong foundation in systems architecture, with understanding of infrastructure, networking, and databases
- Ruby backend programming experience
- Experience contributing to technical roadmaps/RFCs
- Mentoring and/or leading engineers
- Ability to design and implement APIs and scalable systems
Desired Qualifications
