Job Summary

Develop complex software and system solutions for aerospace and defense applications using agile software development techniques and cross-discipline integrated product teams. Collaborate with Systems and Integration Test Engineers to analyze, implement, and test system components while employing continuous improvement practices. Utilize C++, C#, or Java within Agile environments such as Scrum or SAFe, leveraging integrated development tools like Azure, Git, and Jenkins to support continuous integration and deployment pipelines. Maintain an active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance and hold U.S. citizenship, as these are mandatory requirements for day one. This role supports RTX's mission to provide world-class software for Battle Management, Command & Control, and Surveillance systems, contributing to solutions that defend national freedoms and deter aggression.

Required Qualifications

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience in software development, integration, or test using C++, C#, Java or similar software language

  • Desire and ability to learn new technologies and tools
  • Experience working in Agile environment such as Scrum, Scrum @ Scale, SAFe, Test-Driven Development, DevSecOps
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
  • Experience contributing to a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to difficult technical problems
  • Experience with integrated development tools such as Azure, Git, Atlassian Suite, Jenkins, Eclipse, and Ansible
  • Experience working in a continuous integration/continuous development pipeline
  • Knowledge of Red Hat and/or Linux Operating Systems
  • Exposure to Open Systems Architectures and modular design principles
