Job Summary
Design, develop, and test software features for flight management systems integrated into military helicopters and planes within a cross-functional team. Improve knowledge of Software Engineering and Flight Management Systems while integrating soft skills like leadership and coordination to deliver quality products to internal and external customers. Work in an Agile environment supporting CAAS/Flight 2 Flight Management Solutions, with travel under 10% as needed. This role may require professional working hours extending beyond a typical 40-hour week.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Person status (lawful permanent resident, U.S. citizen, U.S. national, refugee, or asylee)
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- Advanced Degree in a related field
- 2+ years of prior relevant experience
- 2+ years of experience with C, C++, DOORS, ADA, and/or Python
- 2+ years of experience in a Software role
- Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance if needed after day 1
- Domestic and international travel <10% as needed
- Commitment to professional working hours extending beyond a typical 7:30am to 4:30pm workday or beyond a 40-hour work week
- Onsite work location in Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Desired Qualifications
- Industry Experience of Software Lifecycle Development (Design, Requirements, Integration, Test)
- Pilot/Avionics Experience (i.e. Private Pilot, Aircraft Maintenance, DO-178 Certification)
