Job Summary
Senior Mobile Engineer on Airwallex's Ledger and Recon Platform team, responsible for design and implementation of enterprise Android applications and libraries. Develop native Android solutions using Kotlin (with Java codebase reading ability), apply modern architectures and patterns (MVVM, Jetpack, Compose, Coroutines, Flow), and collaborate with product and finance stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable mobile experiences. Lead full-cycle product development, refactor for maintainability and extensibility, maintain high test coverage, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines. Bonus familiarity with cross-platform technologies (React Native, Flutter) and payment domain experience. Role emphasizes building high-quality mobile tooling across iOS/Android with a focus on payments and financial platform integration; requires BS/MS in CS or equivalent and English proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 3+ years of Android development experience
- Strong proficiency with Kotlin, ability to read Java codebases
- Knowledge of Android architecture components, Jetpack libraries, Compose, MVVM, Coroutines, Flow
- Promote robust and maintainable code with high test coverage
- Experience to work independently and with a team
- Fluency in English
- Bonus: experience developing Android SDK libraries or frameworks, familiarity with React Native or Flutter, working experience in the payment industry
