Job Summary
Design and deliver robust, scalable full-stack software solutions enabling seamless interoperability between smart home devices and the communication backbone. Research, evaluate, and integrate new tools and frameworks to solve complex technical challenges while participating in the full software development life cycle from requirements gathering through deployment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define solutions meeting business and technical needs, balancing speed of shipment with long-term stability. Contribute ideas and insights to product development rather than merely implementing specifications. This role supports the Panels Team at Alarm.com, developing the technology connecting millions of IoT devices worldwide.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Two or more years of professional software development experience
- Strong object-oriented programming skills
- Experience with database design, SQL, and backend development
- Experience writing and maintaining unit tests
- A curious mindset and a desire to continuously learn and improve
Desired Qualifications
- proficiency in C# preferred
- Experience in the IoT and/or home automation field is a plus
