Job Summary
Condé Nast is hiring a Software Engineer II to help build the next generation of content creation digital products. The role involves collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams across multiple brands to scale and deploy web applications that editors, engineers, and subscribers rely on. Responsibilities include leading projects from ideation to execution and maintenance, identifying performance issues, participating in design and code reviews, and partnering with Product, Data, Design, UX, and Delivery. Required skills include expert-level programming in at least one language, production-grade React/Ember experience,Design Systems familiarity, building and deploying RESTful APIs and GraphQL APIs, strong end-to-end testing with TDD emphasis, and a willingness to adopt new technologies. The tech stack features JavaScript, Node, React, Ember, Mongo, Postgres, ElasticSearch, Kafka; deployment with Docker, AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions; observability with Datadog/Splunk; and GraphQL/APIs with Apollo Federation and AWS AppSync. The role values pairing, knowledge sharing, time-zone collaboration, and an environment that supports scalable platform engineering across global teams, with offices in Bengaluru, London, and the US.
Required Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Expert-level fluency in at least 1 programming language
- Experience with React/Ember applications
- Experience with Design Systems
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL APIs
- Experience with end-to-end testing and TDD methodologies
- Eager to learn about new technologies and implement these ideas in production environment
