Job Summary
Software Engineer II within Cox Automotive Inspections and Imaging, contributing to design, development, testing, maintenance, and evaluation of software and cloud infrastructure using TypeScript, Java, Node.js, React, Postgres, REST APIs, AWS, and AI-assisted tools. Collaborate in architectural discussions, write high-quality code with unit/integration/system tests, ensure security and performance, support debugging and root-cause analysis, modernize legacy components through refactoring and migration planning, apply secure coding practices, and participate in AI-enabled development to streamline SDLC activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 2 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent combinations such as a master’s degree and up to 2 years of experience, or 8 years of experience with no degree
- Experience in developing with TypeScript, Java, Node.js, React
- Hands-on experience developing software using modern programming languages, frameworks, and cloud technologies
- Ability to evaluate technical requirements, follow architectural patterns, and contribute to maintainable and scalable implementations
