Job Summary
Spearhead software application design and scalability, defining coding standards and maintaining a clean, performant codebase. Architect complex API integrations and data workflows, conducting deep research on third-party system requirements to ensure seamless connectivity. Oversee the full lifecycle of nationwide enterprise applications, from React frontend components to MySQL backend optimization. Proactively identify development lifecycle inefficiencies and implement modern solutions like CI/CD improvements to increase team velocity. Serve as the primary technical resource for Software Engineer I team members, providing code-review feedback and guidance. Act as the technical liaison for the Customer Service Team and other business units, translating high-level needs into technical specifications. Assist in scoping complex business goals into actionable technical milestones with expert estimation and risk assessment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Application Development, or a related field
- Minimum of 2–3 years of professional software development experience
- 3–4 years of JavaScript/React experience
- 3–4 years of APIs/Integrations experience
- 3–4 years of CSS/Frontend experience
- 2–3 years of Database/Backend experience
- Proven experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and React
- Experience with ColdFusion
- Experience with MySQL
- Deep understanding of API methodologies (REST, SOAP) and data formats (JSON, XML, CSV)
- Knowledge of software design and architectural patterns
- Proficiency with Git and project/ticket tracking software (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS or Azure) specifically regarding application deployment
- Excellent analytical skills with a focus on root-cause analysis rather than just 'quick fixes'
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to prioritize tasks in an agile environment and meet tight deadlines
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times
Desired Qualifications
- AWS Certified Developer Associate or similar development-centric certifications
