Job Summary
Design, develop, test, deliver, and maintain software for cutting-edge satellite ground systems within an Agile environment. Work with teams of engineers, architects, and leaders to implement multi-tiered architectures, AWS web services, and microservice software design. Apply modern DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery techniques while adhering to software lifecycle practices for large-scale defense projects. Gain proficiency in satellite ground system technologies including command & telemetry, flight dynamics, planning, and scheduling. This onsite role in Aurora, CO, is within Raytheon's Air & Space Defense Systems strategic business unit, which specializes in multi-domain integrated air and missile defense and advanced sensors. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in STEM, C++ or Java experience, and an existing TS/SCI security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen, U.S. Person, or Immigration Status Requirements: The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Active and existing security clearance required after day 1
- A Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- Experience as an intern at Raytheon
- Experience developing object-oriented software using C++ or Java
- Experience working in a SAFe Agile environment
- An ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance
- Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite
- This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of containerized applications and tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka
- Experience with DevOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Development
- Experience working within LINUX/UNIX operating systems
- Experience working with applications in the AWS Cloud
