Job Summary
Software Engineer I on JPMorganChase Japan Payments Technology team contributes to basic software solutions, designs, develops, troubleshoots, and writes secure high-quality code in at least one language; works in an agile team to deliver secure, scalable software; focuses on automation to reduce manual toil in the software development life cycle and supports data analysis for troubleshooting and continuous improvements; emphasizes collaboration, diversity, and an inclusive, innovative culture.
Required Qualifications
- Educational certification on software engineering and/or 3+ years of working experience as Software Engineer
- Strong proficiency in English and Japanese (written and spoken).
- Baseline knowledge of software, applications and technical processes within a given technical discipline
- Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, with a passion to build an inclusive and innovative culture
- Demonstrable ability to code in one or more languages
- Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement
- Proficiency in developmental toolsets
