Job Summary
Contribute to engineering teams on projects of varying scope and complexity by collaborating with Principal Investigators to track technical requirements in GitLab. Develop responsive software solutions using Python, C++, Java, Rust, and JavaScript while participating in daily stand-ups and sprint planning within an Agile/Scrum environment. Document technical implementations and API specifications using Docusaurus and Markdown to facilitate knowledge sharing. Apply the full software development lifecycle to build core technologies and deployable AI solutions with high impact on national security. Master's degree in computer science or related discipline required, with U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance. Experience in machine learning and reinforcement learning is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in computer science or related discipline
- Bachelor's degree with 3 to 5 years of experience
- Software Design and Development Life-cycle knowledge
- Understanding of agile methodologies
- Proven experience in software engineering
- Strong understanding of programming language design
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and SQL
- Experience in deployment engineering, including build systems and containerization
- Knowledge of Docker
- Knowledge of Kubernetes
- Knowledge of cloud deployment or similar technologies
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team
- Ability to collaborate with customers to define analytical questions, decision contexts, assumptions, measures, constraints, and experimental designs
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
