Job Summary
Implement access controls and permission mechanisms for securing critical HPC system resources while ensuring compliance with agency security policies. Design, develop, test, deploy, document, and maintain complex software systems for processing-intensive analytics, real-time systems, and large data set manipulation. Debug existing software, correct defects, and resolve problem reports using C, C++, Python, Java, and Unix shell scripting. Integrate software into new environments, develop data queries, and implement algorithms that meet strict timing and resource constraints. Oversee development teams, coordinate installations, and recommend new technologies to improve process standards.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Experience
- TS/SCI w/Poly clearance
- Polygraph: Required (must be less than seven years old)
- Current TS/SCI
- Experience using the Linux CLI
- Proficiency in scripting (Bash/Python) to automate tasks and processes
- Basic Linux systems administration including User and Group Management
- Experience implementing Access Controls and permissions including RBAC and HBAC in a Linux environment
- Experience developing software solutions using the Python programming languages
- Familiar with IAM solutions such as KeyCloak, FreeIPA, SSSD, LDAP, Kerberos
- Experience developing Ansible playbooks to orchestrate the automation of provisioning
- HPC hardware and software components
- Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI and Jenkins
- Experience with Git Source Control System
- Master's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus three (3) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
Desired Qualifications
- Experience developing in Unix
- Ability to perform shell scripting
- Working knowledge of Configuration Management (CM) tools and Web Services implementation
- Experience developing software solutions using the Python programming languages
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, PodMan, containers
- Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
- Familiar with Agile, Scrum, or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies
- Experience using collaboration and software development tools (ie. Atlassian)
- Software development using continuous integration practices
- Experience with container technologies (ie. Docker)
- Unix shell scripting
- Development of cloud-based solutions and technologies
- Experience with agile development processes
- Has experience with source code control systems, such as Git
- Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI and Jenkins
- Experience with Git Source Control System
