Job Summary
Design, implement, and maintain robust back-end services using Python, Java, and Go while developing high-performance front-end interfaces with React and TypeScript. Translate product concepts into detailed technical specifications, drive engineering excellence through rigorous code reviews and comprehensive testing, and build CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment. Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize systems to ensure reliability, collaborating effectively with design, product, and data science teams. This role is based in Sri Lanka with a hybrid schedule and offers market-leading total rewards.
Required Qualifications
- Python, Go, Java, React, TypeScript, microservices/cloud-native architecture, Docker/Kubernetes, AWS, SnowFlake and CI/CD pipelines
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering program, or equivalent
- True full-stack capabilities, comfortable designing gRPC/REST APIs and building the corresponding consumer interfaces
- Familiarity with Linux development environment and Git
- A mastery of computer science fundamentals, including concurrency, networking, data structures, and advanced debugging
- Experience maintaining production systems and understand the long-term impact of technical design decisions
- A clear communicator who can articulate complex ideas to both technical peers and non-engineering stakeholders
- You thrive in ambiguous environments and proactively take ownership of technical challenges
- Backend: Python/Java/Go expertise
- Frontend: React and TypeScript development
- Infrastructure: Kubernetes, Docker, and multi-cloud (GCP / AWS / Azure)
- Data: PostgreSQL, object-based storage, and messaging queues
- CI/CD: Jenkins, GitHub Actions
- This position is based in Sri Lanka
Desired Qualifications
- Background in developing data-intensive or developer-centric software products
- Familiarity with MLOps or consuming machine learning model outputs
- Active engagement with open-source communities
- Practical experience scaling cloud-native or multi-tenant architectures
- Familiarity with SnowFlake Data Platform
