Job Summary
Design and develop prototypes, proofs of concept, and production-grade software modules for medical devices, ensuring high performance and reliability in clinical environments. Contribute to system architecture, design reviews, and testing strategies while executing software design verification procedures. Deploy, maintain, and update full-stack applications across various platforms, performing testing, debugging, and troubleshooting in cadaveric and laboratory settings. Assist with validation testing and periodically attend surgical cases to understand end-user requirements. Manage assigned tasks to ensure timely completion while maintaining compliance with version control, toolchains, and quality systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of professional programming experience or a Master's Degree with 1-3 years of experience
- Experience in object-oriented analysis and design
- Experience programming in C/C++
- Experience developing software tools, utilities, and libraries/components
- Experience with standard software development environments (VisualStudio, VisualStudio Code) and GIT
- Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office, and E-mail
- Proactive and autonomous mindset supported by problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as a key contributor in small or large teams
- Well organized, detail oriented and team player capable of working in a deadline dictated environment
- Excellent oral, written, and graphical communication skills
- On-site job position
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time and attend cadaver labs and surgeries in the US
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in UI development especially Qt a plus
- Medical device or life science experiences are an asset
- TDD (test driven development)
