Software Engineer für abas ERP / Java

Job Summary
Develop and optimize the company's custom abas ERP system using Java, ensuring alignment with internal workflows. Analyze requirements from administration and production to translate them into functional technical solutions, while planning and executing IT projects independently around interfaces, system integration, and AI-driven processes. Lead updates and maintenance activities to minimize operational disruption, and provide 1st- and 2nd-level support with a focus on clean documentation, testing, and sustainable solutions. Work closely with the existing IT leader to learn the mature system landscape and gradually assume more responsibility as the current leader retires. Requires strong abas and Java expertise, German C-level communication, and on-site presence three days per week in Gärtringen.
Required Qualifications
- Fundierte Erfahrung mit abas ERP und Java
- Verstehen von betrieblichen Abläufen (Auftragsbearbeitung, Verwaltung, Produktion)
- Sichere und präzise Kommunikation auf Deutsch (mindestens C-Niveau)
- Eigenverantwortliches und lösungsorientiertes Arbeiten
- Fähigkeit, den Gesamtzusammenhang bei komplexeren Themen im Blick zu behalten
- Bereitschaft, an drei Tagen pro Woche vor Ort in Gärtringen zu arbeiten
- Fähigkeit, technische Zusammenhänge verständlich gegenüber Nicht-IT-Kollegen zu erklären
