Job Summary
Build state-of-the-art mobile and desktop web software applications and systems, implementing features and user interfaces to optimize performance. Contribute to shared libraries and systems while logging and analyzing operational and engagement metrics. Utilize AI tools and high-velocity engineering workflows to design and ship scalable services, adhering to rigorous standards for code correctness, security, and production-ready quality. Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues, leveraging advanced front-end technologies like WebGL and WebAssembly where applicable. Work in an office four or more days per week in a team focused on privacy and precision.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field such as computer science or equivalent years of practical work experience
- 6+ years of post-Bachelor's software development experience
- Master's degree in a technical field + 5+ year of post-grad software development experience
- PhD in a relevant technical field + 2+ years of post-grad software development experience
- Experience with full stack web development
- Highly proficient in JavaScript (and/or TypeScript), HTML, and CSS
- Highly proficient in Java, Golang, NodeJs, and/or Python
- Experience developing front-end software using Javascript UI Frameworks (i.e React, Angular, Vue)
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented and functional programming principles
- Understanding of domain driven design principles
- Solid knowledge of unit testing
- Experience in front end design and/or web application development
- Writing code for User Interface components
- Experience optimizing JavaScript performance and browser layout rendering
- Ability to identify and resolve performance and scalability issue
- Proficiency in, or a strong aptitude for, leveraging AI tools to streamline development, paired with the critical judgment to audit generated output for architectural integrity, performance bottlenecks, and security risks
- Adaptability in learning and applying evolving AI systems and tools to remain at the forefront of engineering trends and modern development practices
- Work in an office 4+ days per week
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with WebGL, Canvas, WebAssembly, Service workers, or other advanced front-end technology
- Experience with GraphQL
- Experience with large-scale microservices and distributed systems
- Experience with NoSQL solutions, Memcache/Redis, Kubernetes, or Google/AWS services
