Job Summary
Translate business and technical requirements into solutions that balance client value with security, operations, resilience, and cost. Develop reusable code, APIs, and libraries while optimizing systems for maximum performance and scalability. Implement and improve development frameworks, automated testing scripts, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure code robustness. Conduct troubleshooting and debugging to fix bugs, perform standby across environments, and react to monitoring alerts. Manage database models, write complex algorithms, and assist with capacity planning and load tests. Maintain proficiency in modern paradigms and apply improved methods to existing solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
- 3+ years proven experience in both front- and back-end software development, project delivery and implementation (in relevant development technologies/language)
- Experience with modern front-end and back-end frameworks and technologies
- Is able to apply advanced knowledge of the following: IT systems development processes (SDLC)
- Is able to apply advanced knowledge of the following: Application development
- Is able to apply advanced knowledge of the following: Advanced programming concepts
- Is able to apply advanced knowledge of the following: Advanced algorithms and data structures Design Patterns
- Is able to apply advanced knowledge of the following: Version Control Testing practices
- Is able to apply advanced knowledge of the following: Database systems and query optimization (e.g., SQL, NoSQL)
- Is able to apply advanced knowledge of the following: RESTful API design and integration
- Is able to apply advanced knowledge of the following: Cloud computing platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Is able to apply advanced knowledge of the following: Advanced Microservice and event driven architectures
- Is able to apply advanced knowledge of the following: Deployment using kubernetes and containerization
- Is able to apply advanced knowledge of the following: Responsive design principles and mobile-first development
- Is able to apply advanced knowledge of the following: Browser compatibility issues and performance optimisation
