Job Summary
Fullstack Software Engineer to join Cockroach Labs' GTM Engineering team, focusing on building internal knowledge and intelligence infrastructure and a new mixed classic-and-agentic workflow system. Responsibilities include design, implementation, and integration of new features for the GTM OS, UX design for agent-assisted experiences, customer-focused improvements, enablement through documentation and workshops, and the development of observability tools. The role emphasizes collaboration with internal teams, hands-on feature development, and contributing to end-to-end feature delivery within a hybrid remote environment. Key skills include React/HTMX UI development, CI/CD, Git, Terraform/Ansible, cloud providers (AWS/GCP/Azure), SQL and relational databases, AI/data-pipeline design (ETL for LLMs, vector stores, feature stores), and a proven ability to design AI-powered systems with a reusable, extensible platform mindset. The position supports a hybrid work model and offers a base salary range of $140,000–$190,000 USD with additional benefits.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years hands-on software engineering experience
- Experience with distributed systems or complex infrastructure projects, with a focus on UX
- Comfort implementing graphical user interfaces using HTMX or React
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
- Experience with at least one major public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Understanding of SQL and relational database fundamentals (schema design, query optimization)
- Experience designing and managing data pipelines for AI systems, including ETL for LLMs, vector databases, or feature stores
- Track record of designing and building AI-powered systems, tools, or infrastructure used by others
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Builder's instinct for reuse and extensibility; output as platform or capability
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced, innovative environment
- Willingness to stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and incorporate them into solutions
- Openness to receiving feedback and continuous improvement
