Job Summary
Design and implement React-based features for web applications that process real-time and historical aviation data. Integrate, visualize, and manage data streams from multiple sources while collaborating with backend engineers, product managers, and designers on feature implementation. Contribute to code reviews, maintain reusable component libraries, and ensure system reliability through testing and documentation. This role requires 2+ years of experience with React, TypeScript, and API patterns. Based in San Carlos, CA, with hybrid onsite options, the position offers full medical coverage and 3 weeks PTO.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience building user-facing web applications, or equivalent experience through internships, projects, or coursework
- Experience with React
- Experience with TypeScript
- Experience with JavaScript
- Experience with state management
- Experience with modern web standards (HTML/CSS)
- Familiarity with asynchronous frontend patterns
- Experience working with APIs or data streams
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-moving environment
- Attention to code quality, performance, and maintainability
- U.S. Persons (U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, lawful permanent residents, or individuals granted asylum or refugee status)
- All work must be performed in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- Passion for aviation and a desire to improve air travel efficiency and safety
- Experience with mapping or geospatial tools such as Mapbox or Cesium
- Exposure to live data or video streaming concepts
