Job Summary
Develop and maintain robust client-side, server-side, desktop applications, and services powering mission-critical satellite systems for large-scale programs like the Evolved Strategic SATCOM. Design and implement APIs and web services to enable seamless data exchange across platforms while collaborating with cross-functional engineers to integrate diverse capabilities. Optimize applications for scalability, performance, and reliability in complex environments, and troubleshoot, modify, and upgrade existing systems to maintain functionality. Write clean, maintainable code accompanied by thorough test cases, participate in code reviews, and document complex system designs. This role involves working onsite in El Segundo, CA, with a requirement for a U.S. Security Clearance and completion of a CodeVue coding challenge.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or higher
- 3+ years' experience leading projects and/or individuals in software development lifecycle tasks
- Experience working in Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD) using appropriate code versioning, build and test automation tools
- Must be able to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
- An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret/SCI Clearance Post-Start is required
- This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
- To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a 'U.S. Person' as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required
- U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
- Must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process
- This position is expected to be 100% onsite
- The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options
- To be considered for this position you will be required to complete a technical assessment as part of the selection process

Desired Qualifications
- Level 4: 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 9+ years of related work experience
- Bachelor's Degree and 13+ years of directly related work experience
- 17+ years of related, relevant experience
- Experience with the GitLab ecosystem, Jenkins, Jira, and Confluence
- Experience with Java EE, Maven, SQL, XML, JSP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Bash, CI/CD, REST, gRPC
- Experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate, Quarkus, Kotlin, Thymeleaf, Tailwind
- Experience with Java Swing/FX
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or other relational databases
- Experience with RedHat/ OracleLinux
- Experience with Coverity, SonarQube
- Experience building micro-services
