Job Summary
Software Engineer ETAS at Bosch will analyze customer requirements to derive technical solutions, develop accurate estimates for proposed solutions, design and develop system and sub-system components, and debug legacy code to resolve defects. The role involves adherence to Bosch QA processes, participation in technical reviews, and producing API documentation. Essential skills include strong experience in Java SE, C++/C#, RESTful services (JAX-RS), Jenkins, Maven, JUnit, Docker, authentication protocols, and experience with source control (svn, Git). The candidate should be capable of turning product requirements into new functionality, prioritizing work, and reporting status to keep milestones on track, while collaborating with internal and external customer teams and communicating effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Degree level in a relevant discipline or equivalent industrial experience
- Proven experience in software development across SDLC
- Proven ability in software design with detailed specifications and API documentation
- Proven ability to develop new functionality from product requirements/design specifications
- Ability to prioritize and organize effectively and report status to manage risks and milestones
- Team-oriented collaboration with internal and external customer teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in Java SE
- Experience in Eclipse PDE
- Proficiency in C++ and/or C#
- RESTful web services using JAX-RS
- Jenkins for CI
- Maven for build automation
- JUnit testing framework
- Docker containerization
- Authentication/authorization protocols
- Experience with version control systems (svn, Git, Bitbucket)
- Experience in unit testing and related frameworks
- Experience in build environments
- Experience with Windows development and related tools
- Familiarity with XML, JavaScript, AngularJS, REACT, ASP.NET MVC
- SQL (Microsoft SQL Server)
- Embedded software
