Software Engineer - Engineering Enablement (SRE Focus)

Job Summary
Develop and implement strategies to enhance system reliability, performance, and scalability by building scalable backend services, CI/CD pipelines, and toolchains that support developer workflows. Monitor system health proactively to identify and resolve issues before they impact users, while partnering with teams to optimize AWS spend and improve observability across distributed systems. Contribute to system architecture decisions and technical roadmaps to enable engineers to ship reliable code faster. Requires 3+ years in SRE or DevOps, proficiency in Python, Go, and Kubernetes, and experience with AWS and Terraform. Previously held on-call roster for P1/P0 systems is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent knowledge and work experience
- 3+ years in SRE, DevOps related roles
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP), infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation), CI/CD tools (e.g. GitLab CI, Jenkins) and containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong background in modern programming languages (Python, Go, C++ are the ones we use)
- Expertise in software development lifecycle including the ability to understand ambiguous goals and convert them into software requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the AV industry or robotics
- Deep expertise with mono-repo software development tools and services (e.g. Bazel)
- Previously been on on-call roster to support P1 & P0 systems
- Experience with AI/LLM integration, specifically building/extending Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers to enhance developer productivity and system automation
- Possess a Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
