Job Summary
Join Mark VII to help shape the future of our embedded controls software for carwash systems. Develop automation software in C for multi-functional hardware, analyze requirements and control systems, design and implement software tests, and collaborate with an international team of engineers (mechanical, electrical, design). Onboarding includes up to two months at WashTec HQ in Augsburg, Germany with travel permissions, and a passport is required for international travel. The role emphasizes hands-on embedded development, hardware interfacing (I/O, motors, sensors), real-time operating systems, and familiarity with CAN/Modbus serial communication, NEC/UL508A knowledge, and technical documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
- 6+ years of engineering experience, or equivalent
- Strong C programming skills
- Experience with Real Time Operating Systems
- Deep understanding of Microcontroller Hardware
- Extensive knowledge of embedded programming down to the hardware level
- Ability to write technical and end user documentation
- Familiarity with national electrical code NEC and UL508A is a plus
- Experience with galvanic German language a major plus
