Job Summary
Software Engineer focused on design, development, testing, and troubleshooting of EV software systems. Collaborates with cross-functional and international teams, mentors junior developers, and ensures software quality, safety, and performance. Uses MATLAB/Simulink for design and components, develops software requirements and specifications, implements vehicle software, conducts testing and diagnostics, and contributes to process improvements. Role involves travel for engineering purposes and requires hands-on experience with automotive software, MBDE, and standards such as ISO26262.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or a related field (required)
- 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, preferably in the automotive industry
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with software design tools (e.g., Simulink, Stateflow)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with data logging & analysis tools (e.g., CANalyzer)
- Proven track record in troubleshooting and optimizing complex vehicle software systems
- Hands-on experience in vehicle control software, preferably EV controls (e.g., VCU, BMS)
- Familiarity with cross-functional project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree; Preferred: Advanced degree or certification in Software Engineering
