Job Summary
Design, develop, and deliver end-to-end software solutions for Ports and Terminals operations across the UK, building scalable, secure, and reliable systems aligned to business needs. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions while participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle. Apply DevOps best practices, including CI/CD, containerization, and cloud platforms, to maintain high code quality, system performance, and operational uptime. Troubleshoot live systems, conduct code reviews, and ensure compliance with data integrity standards.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Navis N4 customization in a port terminal environment
- Strong experience with C#, .NET, and modern software development practices
- Solid understanding of software architecture, object-oriented programming (OOP), and clean code principles
- Solid understanding of SQL Server and NoSQL databases
- Experience with containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
- Experience developing applications using modern front-end frameworks such as Angular or React
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and TDD
- Proven experience delivering software in complex or enterprise environments
- Must meet the medical fitness requirements for the role
- Must not have any unspent criminal convictions
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working within or alongside logistics or industrial systems
- Understanding of operational or supply chain systems
