Job Summary
Partner with business teams across BETA to identify, scope, and solve operational and technical problems by designing, developing, and deploying full-stack web applications, internal tools, and APIs. Leverage AI and LLM technologies to accelerate development and build intelligent workflows, while translating complex, ambiguous requirements from non-technical stakeholders into clear technical designs and working solutions. Assess technical feasibility of proposed requirements, communicate tradeoffs clearly, and contribute to intake and prioritization by surfacing new demand from engaged teams. Maintain technical documentation to facilitate knowledge transfer and long-term adoption of solutions, fostering a culture of continuous improvement through learning from past mistakes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 3-5 years of professional software engineering experience
- Proficiency in modern full-stack development (e.g., React/TypeScript and Python or Node.js)
- Experience with agentic coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Codex)
- Experience with REST APIs, databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), and cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt rapidly to changing requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience at a startup or in a fast-paced, resource-constrained environment
- Experience building internal tools and enterprise applications
- Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or a regulated industry
- Experience with enterprise system integrations (ERP, HRIS, PLM, QMS)
- Track record of identifying, scoping, and delivering projects with minimal direction
