Job Summary
Conceptualize, design, and manage Walmart's largest managed log search platform using Splunk and homegrown subsystems. Drive Proof of Concept and Proof of Technology evaluations while automating distributed clusters, data pipelines, and application onboarding via Infrastructure as Code. Act as a subject matter expert to develop, integrate, and automate platform modules and workflows. Triage highly complex issues with broad technical implications and collaborate with internal stakeholders across Walmart using scrum practices. This role requires 7+ years of experience in centralized logging, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience
- Centralized Logging platform solutions: Splunk (Preferred) ELK, etc.
- Infrastructure automation: Ansible, Terraform, Puppet and Chef
- Configuring fluentbit (or similar Data Collectors)
- Containers: Kubernetes/Docker
- Telemetry solutions: Instrumentation and monitoring
- Ability to develop modules, plugins or API end points
- Strong at identifying problems, solving complex problems with simple solutions
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
