Job Summary
Software engineer on the Developer Tooling team to build and improve internal developer tools, establish tooling patterns and guardrails to accelerate engineer work, and develop developer-facing AI automation and testing infrastructure. Own end-to-end testing experience and shipping improvements that positively impact engineering productivity for Watershed’s North America and Europe teams. Candidate should translate fuzzy pain points into concrete problems, ship iteratively, and measure impact. Requires comfort across the stack (CLI/tools, services, CI config, developer workflows) and familiarity with Javascript/Typescript, GCP, GitHub Actions, Playwright, Temporal, and Terraform. Role is based in the San Francisco office with an in-office requirement (4 days/week). The company operates offices in SF, NY, London, Mexico City, with satellites in Denver, Sydney, Paris, and Berlin; remote options noted as in-person for this posting.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of software engineering experience
- Experience building internal tools, developer platforms, or productivity systems
- Comfort across the stack (CLI/tools, services, CI config, developer workflows)
- Familiarity with Javascript/Typescript, GCP (or similar cloud providers), GitHub Actions, Playwright, Temporal, Terraform
