Software Engineer, Developer Experience (Full-Stack)

Job Summary
Implement the central platform team's work within the Superhuman Docs codebase, acting as the embedded Developer Experience partner and spokesperson for the business unit. Bridge the gap between engineers and leadership to translate developer friction into a prioritized DevX roadmap, while building full-stack internal tooling and self-service platforms tailored to the Docs team's workflow. Enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment tooling to ensure safe, fast shipping across a hybrid monolith-and-microservices architecture, and streamline local development environments using build systems like Bazel and Kubernetes. Create golden paths, templates, and documentation to standardize development practices, then define and track both org-wide and Docs-specific productivity metrics to validate the impact of every change.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in software engineering
- meaningful full-stack exposure across both front-end and back-end development
- comfortable in more than one programming language
- knows at least two languages well (e.g., Go, Python, Java, TypeScript)
- hands-on experience with CI/CD systems
- experience with build tooling
- experience with developer workflow automation
- experience with large-scale build systems such as Bazel—or a very similar system used at large engineering organizations
- comfortable with cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- comfortable with containerized workflows such as Kubernetes
- comfortable working across hybrid architectures that mix a monolith with microservices
- experience with high-volume, complex release processes
- strong empathy and communication skills
