Job Summary
Software Engineer–Developer in Richardson, TX (onsite) contributing to the P-8A Poseidon Maritime Patrol Aircraft Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) mission; partners with hardware, software, and systems engineering to design, develop, troubleshoot, and test P-8A AAS Mission Systems and Training Systems software; develops and maintains code, integrates software components into a complete system, assists with test procedures and documenting results to ensure software system requirements are met; requires active U.S. Top Secret clearance, Bachelor’s degree, and 1+ years of software development experience; Java proficiency required; preferred skills include C/C++, Linux, OpenGL, AGILE/DevOps, and real-time algorithm implementation; the role is 100% onsite with specific location in Richardson, TX; COI considerations and drug-free workplace policies apply; CodeVue coding challenge part of the selection process; visa sponsorship not offered.
Required Qualifications
- Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or related field
- 1+ years of software development experience
- 1+ years of experience using Java
- Experience with development of C/C++ and/or Linux Operating Systems
- Experience with development of OpenGL
- Experience in AGILE/DevOps methodologies
- Experience in Real-Time Algorithm implementation
- Experience in development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, interfaces and designs for software systems
