Job Summary
Software Engineer focusing on data streaming and real-time processing platforms. Design, build, and operate scalable, high-throughput, low-latency streaming pipelines and event-driven architectures. Contribute to streaming platforms and internal data infrastructure, build resilient services for large data volumes, optimize throughput and latency, implement monitoring and incident response, and collaborate with product, analytics, and ML teams. Proficiency in C/C++/Rust for low-level programming, Go or Python for stream orchestration, deep networking knowledge (UDP/TCP/IP), media transport (MPEG-TS), codecs (H.264/AVC, H.265/HEVC, AV1), and streaming tools (FFmpeg, GStreamer, librist/libsrt, RTMP). Emphasis on clean, well-tested code, design/code reviews, documentation, and automation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Systems Programming: 2+ years of hands-on experience programming real-time applications at the Low-Level / Packet Level using C, C++, or Rust.
- Strong experience in a modern concurrency language like Go or Python for stream orchestration, tooling, and control-plane API development.
- Deep understanding of UDP and TCP/IP networking mechanics.
- Experience with media transport and video workflows (MPEG-TS wrappers).
- Experience building diagnostic or real-time monitoring software.
- Familiarity with scripting in Python or Bash for automation.
