Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition - Mexico City, Mexico

Speechify is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to own data collection and ingestion for our AI data pipelines. You’ll build and operate ingestion infrastructure on GCP using Terraform, partner with Scientists to optimize cost, throughput, and data quality, and help craft the dataset roadmap to power next-generation models and products. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of software development experience, strong Bash/Python in Linux, Docker expertise, and IaC experience with a major cloud provider (GCP), plus experience with web crawlers and large-scale data processing. You’ll work in a fully distributed, remote team with global impact, contributing to datasets that enable accessible reading experiences for millions of users. Responsibilities include sourcing new audio data sources, extending the ingestion pipeline, collaborating across AI and leadership to optimize data collection at scale, and delivering high-quality datasets for model training.
