Job Summary
Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition in Los Angeles, CA, responsible for all aspects of data collection to support model training. Build high-quality datasets at petabyte-scale and low cost through integration of infrastructure, engineering, and research. Own ingestion pipeline infrastructure on GCP with Terraform, collaborate with AI Scientists to optimize cost, throughput, and data quality, and contribute to the dataset roadmap for next-generation products. Requires BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field, 5+ years of software development, proficiency with Bash/Python on Linux, Docker, and Infrastructure-as-Code, and experience with cloud providers (GCP). Desirable: experience with web crawlers and large-scale data processing workflows; strong written and verbal communication; ability to work in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment and impact learning-difference-related products.
Required Qualifications
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of industry experience in software development
- Proficiency with bash/Python scripting in Linux environments
- Proficiency in Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts
- Professional experience with at least one major Cloud Provider (GCP)
- Experience with web crawlers or large-scale data processing workflows a plus
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
