Job Summary
Speechify seeks a Software Engineer focused on Data Infrastructure & Acquisition to build and operate data ingestion pipelines and cloud infrastructure (GCP, Terraform) that power model training at petabyte scale. You’ll source new audio data, integrate it into ingestion workflows, optimize cost/throughput/quality with AI teammates, collaborate on dataset roadmaps, and work with researchers to enable scalable data collection for model development. Ideal candidates have a Computer Science degree (BS/MS/PhD) and 5+ years in software development, strong bash/Python scripting, Docker, IaC, and cloud experience (GCP); experience with web crawlers and large-scale data processing is a plus; excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Required Qualifications
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of industry experience in software development
- Proficiency with bash/Python scripting in Linux environments
- Proficiency in Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts and professional experience with at least one major Cloud Provider (GCP)
- Experience with web crawlers, large-scale data processing workflows is a plus
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
