Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition - Kharkiv, Ukraine

Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition at Speechify (Kharkiv, Ukraine) will own all aspects of data collection to support model training, building and operating the ingestion pipeline, and expanding cloud infrastructure (GCP, Terraform) to ingest high-quality datasets at scale. You will collaborate with AI scientists to optimize cost, throughput, and data quality, contribute to the dataset roadmap for next-generation products, and leverage Bash/Python in Linux and Docker with Infrastructure-as-Code. Ideal candidates have a BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field, 5+ years of software development, proficiency with scripting and cloud tooling, experience with web crawlers and large-scale data processing, strong communication, and the ability to work in a 100% distributed, remote environment. The role emphasizes data collection, ingestion, and collaboration across the AI team to power Speechify’s models and products, with a focus on building scalable data infrastructure and datasets for speech/text applications.
